Victory is sweet! In Runner's World magazine's Summer 2011 Running Shoe Guide, the Ravenna 2 was named Editor's Choice. In the June 2011 issue, Runner's World states, "Credit the shoe’s winning combination of a nimble, low-to-the-ground profile and ample cushioning for heel- and midfoot-strikers. Even more impressive is how Brooks now scales the flexibility of this shoe according to gender and size — making the smaller sizes less rigid in the forefoot than larger ones," adding that the fast feel belies the amount of corrective support it provides. "If you’re looking for a single shoe for both marathon training and racing, this is it."
The Ravenna 2 is perfectly tuned to the needs of mild overpronators, with just enough support and the addition of Brooks DNA to adapt to each step you take, for customized cushioning and energy return. The 3D adjustable arch saddle conforms to your foot for an ideal instep wrap and a caterpillar crash pad smoothes out the landing zone, moving your foot efficiently through the heel strike. Lace up and optimize your every stride.
A faithful Adrenaline GTS wearer in the office confessed that she has "been cheating with the Ravenna 2"… and she likes it.
> See the brand new Women’s Ravenna 3, now with a new last and an adjustable midfoot saddle for a close fit that provides just the right amount of support for mild pronation.

I love, love, love the Ravenna 2's. I run 40-50 miles a week and several marathons a year. I want a shoe that is light, yet has some cushioning and some stability. The Ravenna 2 is perfect! They feel very light and responsive. I am a forefoot/midfoot striker and the forefoot cushioning is great, and I love that the heel isn't big and clunky. I have over 200 miles on my first pair already and the wear and tear is minimal so I am impressed with how well they are holding up too. Don't change these PLEASE.

I run 6 days a week between 3-9 miles a day - even if you take an average of 6 miles I probably run 150 miles/month and these don't last much more than that!
I had to switch from the adrenaline to these because the arch support was hurting my hips - while the pain went away I was sad to see that they did not last nearly as long as my old adrenalines. I would get nearly 400 miles out of my old adrenalines (adrenaline 8&9)
I only weigh about 120 and I am 5'4'' and there is a quarter sized "sweet spot" in the forefoot that blows down to the foam within a short time frame - I will have to wait until the update in february and hope that they are more durable!

Comments about Ravenna 2:
I have been running about four times a week for a year using the original Ravenna shoe. I never had any problems, so I figured when I needed another pair of shoes I would upgrade to the Ravenna 2. I really like these shoes. A very good mix of cushion and support. I run on a trail near my apartment that is at times rocky, muddy, etc. and this shoe feels great all along that trail and on the road.

Comments about Ravenna 2:
I'm a critical care nurse and always on my feet. For years I have hated buying shoes because I could never find the right arch support. I would literally take days to try on hundreds of pairs of shoes and still not leave with a pair. A friend who is a triathelete told me to go get fitted at a running store for running shoes when I decided to run my first marathon and after trying on about 20 shoes I kept coming back to the Ravena 2. Tomorrow I'm going to buy another pair before my race on Jan. 15. I am also using them for work and no longer have the back or leg pains after 12 and 16 hour shifts.

Comments about Ravenna 2:
I got this shoe when I started running after walking for years. Using it, I have experienced no foot/knee/hip or other pain as I've increased mileage which at age 51, I'm grateful for. I run on pavement and trails.
I gave a pair to my daughter who was 9 mos pregnant and walking a lot and getting shin splints with her shoes. She was able to do walks of 5-6 miles daily up to the day of delivery without any discomfort.
The lime and silver color looks good enough to wear with jeans.

Comments about Ravenna 2:
Took me a while to find a good shoe with a good support. I've been struggling with shin splints since I've started running. These are able to correct my running and they feel really comfortable. I wish they were a little lighter, but the most important thing is I don't hurt anymore! Thanks!!

Comments about Ravenna 2:
I was headed straight for major foot problems, probably plantar fasciaitis. My running store suggested these or an other brand and I chose Brooks because I'd never worn their shoes but have loved their apparel. First thing I noticed is how fast these shoes are. No joke. The spring in the forefoot is awesome! Within 2 weeks of wearing these my foot pain was 98% gone. I say 98% because like most people I am not biomechanically perfect. Reviews that say these wear down fast seem incorrect to me, I've got 115 miles on mine and barely see any wear, just in my usual spot. I will definitely be buying a few more pairs of these before they discontinue this model! The cushioning is kind of firm, but still soft but not in a too cushy way. They are very responsive. I sound like a Brooks spokesperson now because I rave to my friends about how incredible these shoes are. I'm completely sold!

Comments about Ravenna 2:
After the stress fracture in my foot my stride changed a tiny bit. I wore the Adrenalines for years but for now my feet aren't able to take the cushion in the forefoot. The Ravennas saved the day and they are just what I need now! Plus they look HOT!
