A split toe groove extends toward the midfoot, engaging the natural movement of the foot and letting you feel every nuance of the run. With rad looks, the baby is ready to run, right out of the box.
Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I purchased Pure Connect 2's due to the sad discontinuation of my favorite Green Slience. The second I slipped my foot into these gems I was won over just like the GS. Perfectly conforms to foot shape and arch. So light, supple, and soft. Promotes midfoot stride even more than my beloved Green Silence. Wore them in last marathon after just 2 runs and never had a better performance nor less soreness after. Usually after mile 20 feet start to suffer and slow but with Pure Connect 2 I ran away with the race of my life. Sizing note: I always wear 10.5 but Brooks recomended a full size up to 11.5. After trying 11 & 11.5 I found half sized up to 11 was the best fit. Love Brooks and their dream Pure Connect 2's!

I bought these hoping I could use them for Crossfit. The only 3 complaints I have about these shoes are; toe box area is narrow due to an under the netting toe wall. This wall is my biggest complaint about the shoe. If your feet start to spread, the toe wall starts to pinch by the outside of the big toe area. In crossfit, we do alot on the balls of our feet, which makes the front part of the foot spread. Ouch!
The second problem I have is that I wear a true to fit size 12. I had to buy a size 13 in the PC2. You better try them on before you order them on-line to make sure you get the right size.
Lastly, the arch support started hurting after wearing them for about 3 hours.
All in All, I returned these shoes to the Retailer for a full refund.
If your foot is narrow, and you get the right size, the shoes will be great runners for you.

Comments about PureConnect 2:
My passion for running has been fueled by this Pure Connect line sence they first came out last year. I currently have three pairs. Two of the Connect 1's and a pair of the Connect 2's. These shoes are amazing to run in!! I log between 15-25 miles a week. They fit like a glove. Some have said that they are tight in the toe. I would say that they "fit" perfect. They don't really have a box which I think is what is being misunderstood. My experiences running in these shoes have all been positive. These shoes are light and agile. They breath and flex well. They never get heavy and the ride they provide is superb. I have run so many miles in these that when I put on my Glycerin's it's like wearing snow boots. (Ironically those have become my winter running shoes that I use in the snow and ice.) When I do run I average 4.7 miles with 9.2 miles being my longest run. I'm training for some half and full marathon events in the middle and end of this year. You had better believe it will be a pair of Connects striding me across the finish line. Hats off to you Brooks and Pure Connects, My feet have never run happier!!!

Comments about PureConnect 2:
I have worn a plethora of minimalist shoes over the past few years... from Nike Free's in almost every version to Skora Form's to most recently, Merrell Bare Access 2 (still in rotation) and Altra "The One" (returned due to odd sizing).
With all my "research" into the best minimalist shoe, but yet always yearning for support to match the lightweight (a tough feat to accomplish in a light shoe), I have finally found the perfect marriage in these PureConnect 2's. Only about 10 miles on them so far, but I'm so pleased with the comfort, quickness, and super light feel of these shoes. They remind me of a racing flat on a cloud. The upper is a lot like a nike free of days gone by, which allows for a lot of flex and airflow. The sole is amazingly well cushioned and feels great to run in.. a little odd to walk in, but I won't be doing much but chipping away at my PR mile time in these!
I did go a full size up in these. I'm typically a 10.5/11, but felt most comfortable in an 11.5 when testing these out at my local fit2run store. I would DEF recommend trying these on in store before buying. The shape and overall feel of these is quite specific, so I think you'll either absolutely love them, or they may not be right for you.

Comments about PureConnect 2:
I understand why there are those that find the toe area tight and this is a shoe that must work for you. As an owner of the original Pureconnect, these are indeed better. I am getting the best times I have ever gotten without stress on my feet or knees; first minimalist shoe I have used where I can say this.
Support is excellent and the shoe is a literal an extension of your foot-hence why I can see that some find it too tight.

Comments about PureConnect 2:
This is an awesome shoe! If you are looking to get more out of a shoe, than this is a case where less is more. These felt great out of the box, and the lightweight design makes them a joy to run in. If you have never used a more "minimal" shoe design before, start slowly. It will take a few weeks for your feet and legs to acclimate, but in the "long run" makes for a much enjoyable run.

Comments about PureConnect 2:
These shoes are the best strictly running shoe I have used. However, this is a shoe I would never use for cross training or any other sports. I usually go for NB or @sics because they have wide sizes(which I need and still use for other exercise) The only neg is that they don't make this shoe in a wide! Other than that, I would absolutely recommend them to any one for running. Every foot/preference is different of course.

Comments about PureConnect 2:
I was looking for comfortable minimalist running shoes. Spent 2 hours at the store trying 10 different pairs. In my 35 years of running, I never had owned Brooks before, so I was skeptical at first. But I chose the PureConnect by a rigorous process of elimination; based on low drop, super lightweight, awesome cushion and stability. In the first week of training I cut my 10K average time by 5 minutes. I am so happy with the shoes, I bought a second pair on the second week of ownership. It's been 3 months now and I couldn't be happier with my shoes and my new record low running times. Truly unbelievable, simply fantastic shoes!!!
