Best running shorts I own. When it's cold out I might go with tights instead, but it has to be pretty cold for me to switch over. I run in these almost daily, and I have about four pairs just in case. I have had no chafing or rubbing issues in these as compared to most other running shorts. The key pocket is perfect. Use them for competition, long runs, track workouts, etc. I run about 90 mi. a week in these and never once3 have I had a single complaint.

Comments about Podium Split:
these are great for running. you can move in them in almost every way. i say almost because you should not squat in these shorts, the lining will gap a bit. actually, after putting them on i have to tuck the lining up in between my thigh and groin to avoid fall-out. but you CAN stretch in these shorts, AND THE LINING PREVENTS CHAFING. it also doesn't provide too much support so that people would question your gender, but nothing falls out during running. just don't pop a squat unless your sitting in front of a friend, lol. i think a white lining would look better, it wouldn't be sheer unless your skin glows in the dark, and the whitie-tightie look is fashionable for running shorts. my biggest complaint is that i had to buy forest green because they were out of black and navy. considering the extremely high cut, it isn't exactly sophisticated to be running around in a brilliant shell (outer part/cover up) part of the shorts. maybe i am kind of particular about that white lining and dark outer part. these would not be appropriate for a yoga class or bicycle kicks at the gym, they are strictly for running. the shortness keeps me moving. maybe for swimming.

Comments about Podium Split:
I'm a competitive swimmer and these are great for lap swimming workouts. I use them in fitness club and local college pools. It is the closest feel to a Speedo than anything else I have worn. Feels fast in the water. 100 butterfly and breast feels as easy as in a speedo, no parachute drag like with surf trunks. Of course I would not wear them in a swim meet race. I don't want to wear a Speedo unless I am at swim team practice with other Speedo's. I also use two when traveling instead of underwear because they are so light, convenient, comfortable and versatile. Reduces amount of clothes to pack on trips. Wear one, wash the other in hotel room sink or while showering on trips that last for months. They wash quick and easy as well as dry quickly while wearing them. Since they are so comfortable and versatile, I bought enough to wear all the time. I am always ready to jump in the water anytime and anywhere with no advanced notice or planning. They are also as comfortable as a Speedo under a full wet suit and great for a public safety rapid deployment rescue diver. They hold up well under chlorine or sunlight. My first pair lasted roughly two years before becoming noticeably faded but still good enough to use. I used that one 5 days a week in chlorine pools and outdoor in the hot sun during summers as well as weekends out on boats on the hot bright sun. Of course I showered with them on to clean the chlorine off.

Comments about Podium Split:
Have a bunch of these shorts in my rotation. They're quite short, so definitely not for the shy. I also wish there was a pocket or two for gels. That said, they're extremely lightweight - wearing these you feel like you run forever and set a speed records doing it. I've kept buying pairs to add to the collection (along with a few lengthier shorts for more modest days) - they're great from speed work to long runs.

Comments about Podium Split:
I am a college runner and bought these shorts because I had problems with the team issued shorts. They offer an amazing lightweight feel with ease of movement. I am 5'11" 145lbs and ordered a small and it fits perfect.

Comments about Podium Split:
Best pair of shorts ever. I have a veritable boat-load of these guys. Just long enough to be acceptable wear, but still insanely breathable and comfortable. No restriction whatsoever.
While I got my first pair free from the Brooks ID program, I've since bought tons for all my running and racing. Mostly the black, cause it's fast, ya know, but gotta have a few with the white racing stripe, and the red is just fast, light blue is cool and brisk for those warm summer days, etcetc.
And the ladies love watching me fly by in them! (Well, or so I keep telling myself...!)

Comments about Podium Split:
I have only have one pair of these but i wear it just about all the time; long runs, speed work, easy days, even when i do pool workouts. You do have to be comfortable with showing some leg when wearing these because they are quite short. I only suggest that you buy more than one pair.

Comments about Podium Split:
I love this product. My high school track team was unhappy with our uniform shorts so we turned to the great Brooks. We got these great shorts at a great affordable price. We were easily able to screen print our school logo on the shorts and they work great. Not only are they great for races but I use them for workouts and distance runs.
