I'm training for a half marathon and run most mornings. It is winter in Austin, TX where I live which means morning temperatures are often in the 40s or 30s. The Nightlife Jacket II holds back the chill, and is perfectly adequate paired with a long-sleeve synthetic shirt for our winter temperatures.
The jacket includes a back vent to help with breathability, but it is not the most breathable jacket I have ever owned. A number of years ago, I bought a running jacket that incorporated Activent fabric, a more porous version of its sister fabric Gore-Tex, and found it ideal for winter running. Alas, I have misplaced the jacket and Activent is not made anymore.
The Nightlife's high-visibility design led me to purchase this jacket. Like many runners, I do most of my running on asphalt and share the roads with cars. This jacket really shows up, and I feel much safer knowing that I am easily seen by drivers. And with the jacket's stylish design I don't have to look goofy while running safely. I have received compliments on the jacket's looks.
I haven't used the jacket at night or in early morning yet. I would like the manufacturers to post a video on their site demonstrating how well the 3M Scotchlite shows up from all directions when illuminated by automobile headlights. I may still also wear my reflective vest at night until I feel comfortable with a good demonstration of the jacket's reflectivity.

Purchased 3 of these jackets for Christmas presents. Having read the reviews before hand, I was shocked when they came. This jacket is not nearly the quality of the Brooks vest we purchased earlier. They are so thin and light weight. This may be great for Arizona but not at all for upstate New York. My husband normally wears a large in men's and this jacket was binding across the shoulders as well. The fabric was so thin, there is almost nothing to them. The packaging they came in was poor as well. I purchased several items over the internet and these jackets received by far the award for worst purchase!

Comments about Nightlife Jacket II:
I expected this to be heavier than it was. I can't believe how light it is. I would normally become overheated with my other jacket on longer runs. This blocked the wind and breathed well. I did not become too hot and am more inclined to wear this on runs than my other jacket now.

Comments about Nightlife Jacket II:
I purchased this jacket along with an Infiniti jacket (both in the same size - medium) The Infiniti fits great, unfortunately the sleeves on this one are a little too short.

Comments about Nightlife Jacket II:
Perfect jacket for all occasions, although I mainly use the jacket for running in colder weather (20F to 40F degrees). So light you barely know your wearing this layer. A must for all winter runners..

Comments about Nightlife Jacket II:
Amazed at how warm the jacket is for as light as it is. Excellent construction and material. The waist can be tightened through elastic bands that pull into the pocket to avoid dangling and catching things/flopping around while running (very crafty). I live in South Bend, IN and train in very cold weather and recently ran 12 miles in 8 degree weather with a thin dry fit long sleeved shirt, and long sleeved cotton t-shirt under this. It was a perfect combination. It's probably better suited for temperatures 20-40 degrees but did just fine as a light, windproof barrier that allowed me to stay warm and prevented the sweat from being exposed to wind/cold. Happy with the purchase.

Comments about Nightlife Jacket II:
I use this jacket when running in the cold, (low 40ies or below) day or night as my outer layer. I will also use it if the weather is in the 50ies and raining. I am about 5' 7" and 140# and this jacket fits great, not too baggy or tight. It does everything it claimes to do and the high visibility was an added benifit during deer season since I run in a rural area. Cars are not the only thing that might get me, over zealous hunters being the other.

Comments about Nightlife Jacket II:
Bought the jacket 2 weeks ago and I am very happy with it.
I was a bit shy wearing something so flashy but it turned out to be an advantage even in full day light.
I am running in sub zero C temperature with my regular t-shirt and base layer with no problem.
Good construction. Very happy!

Great top layer. I've worn it in 20 degree weather and it keeps me warm along with my base layer. Really keeps the wind off.
