To change the battery in the NightLife hat, or remove it for washing:
1. Slide the battery pack out of the pocket on the side of the hat.
2. Gently unplug the wire from the battery pack. The hat is now machine washable.
3. With your thumbnail, loosen the top edge of the battery pack and pull it open. The battery is attached to the top.
4. Replace with a new CR2032 Lithium 3V battery.
5. Slide the top of the battery pack back into the pack until it clicks.
6. Reattach the wire and slide the battery pack back in the pocket of the hat.

I love this hat for runs in the dark I don't have to worry about where to attach a flasher on my back side and my headlamp fits well on the rim. If its super cold out, I just put headband underneath it,

I tried out this hat as a vendor demo on a recent long run (15 miler) on some city and neighborhood streets. The run started out before the sun came up and I wasn't dressed for high visibility. The hat did two things I needed it to do; keep the sweat out of my eyes and it had a blinker for visibility.
The blinker on the back was easy to turn on and off. My running pals could see me easily from a distance before they ended up passing me :(
The light can be removed for washing and the battery seems easy to replace.
This is a good hat when it is cold and dark out.

I love this hat. I typically like visors because they allow your head to breath. Feel pretty visible with this hat on. Has a red blinking light in the back to help further make you visible. Only thing i wish is that it had a bit more ventilation....but overall great product
