Brooks Inspiring Coaches Program

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.   VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

 

1.  How to Enter: To enter the Brooks Inspiring Coaches Program, fill out the Inspiring Coaches Application at www.brooksrunning.com.   By submitting the Application, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and by the decisions of the Brooks Sports, Inc. (Brooks), which shall be final and binding in all respects.   All submitted Applications become the property of Brooks and will not be returned.  Submissions must be received by May 31, 2012. Entries received after this date are void and will not be considered.      

2  Eligibility.: To be eligible, nominees must be a current high school track and field and/or cross country coaches residing of the fifty states in the United States or in the District of Columbia.  This Program is void in Puerto Rico and the other United States territories.   By submitting an Application, entrants are required to provide truthful and accurate information in the Application.  Brooks will reject and disqualify any entry or Application that it discovers or deemed to be false or fraudulent. 

3. Online Voting: On June 5, 2012, the names of the eligible nominees and their schools will be posting at www.brooksrunning.com/InspiringNominees whereby the running community and/or general public can vote for their favorite nominee until to June 30, 2012.

4. Selection of Winners:  Entries will be judged by Brooks at their sole discretion and the decisions are final.   The decisions made by Brooks are binding and will be based upon, but not limited to; information provided in the submitted Application, votes received via online voting, votes of all employees of Brooks and overall merit of at the nominees as solely determined by the Brooks Public Relations Team.   On or around July 10, 2012, the top 25 finalists will be selected and will be notified by phone or email within 14 days of the actual selection date. The Grand Prize Winner will be chosen by September 1, 2012 and notified in-person during the month of September. In the event there are not enough eligible entries, not all prizes will be awarded. If a winner is not able for whatever reason to accept his or her prize, then Brooks reserves the right to award the prize to another Inspiring Coach.

5.  Grand Prize Winner: One (1) coach will receive a $10,000 in product from Brooks for their current high school team where the Grand Prize Winner coaches, $2,500 in cash for additional team needs, membership into the Brooks Inspire Daily (I.D.) Program for the remainder of 2012, and a trip for two for the Inspiring Coach winner and a guest to the Brooks PR Invitational in 2013. All cash and product will be donated directly to the high school where the Grand Prize Winner coaches and earmarked for the track and field and/or cross country program.  The Grand Prize Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, as well as any and all other costs and expenses associated with the trip to the Brooks PR Invitational in 2013.

6. General Prize Winners:  Twenty four (24) coaches will receive $5,000 in product from Brooks for their current high school team where the General Prize Winners coaches, $500 in cash for additional team needs, and membership into the Brooks Inspire Daily (I.D.) program for the remainder of 2012. All cash and product will be donated directly to the high school where the General Prize Winners coaches and earmarked for the track and field and/or cross country program.  The General Prize Winners and/or the named high school are responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, as well as any and all other costs and expenses associated with acceptance Brooks products and cash prize, if any.

7. General Provisions:  By participating and accepting the prizes, the Grand Prize Winner and General Prize Winners consents and hereby grants Brooks the permission to the use of their names and/or likenesses by Brooks for the purpose of advertising without limitation or compensation.  At any time, in the sole discretion of Brooks, the Grand Prize Winner and General Prize Winners, may be required to execute (where permitted by law) an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and a Publicity Release, the form and content of such documents to be determined in the Brooks sole discretion.  The failure of the Grand Prize Winner or General Prize Winners to complete the required documents will result in disqualification and an alternate prize winner will be selected by Brooks from the remaining entrants. 

8. Prizes: No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of the Grand Prize Winner or General Prize Winners are permitted except by Brooks, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion.  Brooks, at its sole discretion, also reserves the right to disqualify and void any entry who Brooks believes whose conduct or actions affect the administration, integrity, fairness or proper conduct of this Program or who is in violation of these Official Rules by submitting an Application deemed to be false or fraudulent. 

9. Media Activity: By participating in this Program and being named the Grand Prize Winner, the named Inspiring Coach consents and hereby grants Brooks permission to use, copy, modify, distribute, and publicly display his submissions for any purpose, such as, but not limited to press, the Internet and media communications, without any compensation or attribution.  The Grand Prize winner also agrees to participate in any media or promotional activity regarding the Inspiring Coaches program.  The Grand Prize Winner consents and hereby grants Brooks permission to use his name, sound of his voice as recorded and likeness to administer and promote the program and to conduct media interviews and promotional events within an unrestricted geographical area.

10. Internet:  By participating in this Program and being named the Grand Prize Winner, the named Inspiring Coach consents and hereby grants permission to Brooks to use photographic or video recordings of him which may be electronically displayed via the Internet.  Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used, but not limited to, for the following purposes 1) presentations, 2) on e-commerce websites, including but not limited to, www.brooksrunning.com; and 3)on social media websites, including but not limited to, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and/or Twitvid.

11.  Inaccurate Transmissions. Brooks is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission. Brooks is not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Program materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Brooks is not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to display Program materials on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof.  If for any reason the Internet portion of the Program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Program, Brooks reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Program.

12. Severability. If any provision(s) of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect

13. Winner List. The names of the winners will be posted on brooksrunning.com by September 1, 2012. To obtain a written list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:
