Guess Amy's or Ryan’s 10K Time Contest Official Rules
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.
1. How to Enter:
To enter the Brooks Guess Amy or Ryan’s 10K Time Contest, fill out the online Guess Amy or Ryan’s 10K Time form at www.brooksrunning.com. By submitting the Application, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and by the decisions of Brooks Sports, Inc. (Brooks), which shall be final and binding in all respects. All submitted Applications become the property of Brooks and will not be returned. The Contest runs from June 13, 2012 through June 21, 2012. (“Contest Period”) and Applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on June 21, 2012. Entries received after this time and date are void and will not be considered.
2. Eligibility:
To be eligible, must be a resident of the U.S. that is at least 18 years of age. Employees of Brooks Sports, Inc., and its affiliated companies are not eligible to win. By submitting an Application, entrants are required to provide their name, telephone number, e-mail and physical addresses and the fastest 10K time to the minute and second that you believe Amy Hastings and/or Ryan Vail will run during the 2012 Olympic Track and Field Trials on June 22, 2012. Brooks will reject and disqualify any entry or Application that it discovers or deemed to be false or fraudulent. Qualifying entries will be judged by Brooks and will be based upon, but be limited to; information provided in the submitted Application. The decisions as to the qualifying entries will be at the sole discretion of Brooks.
3. Selection of Winners:
On or around June 25, 2012, Brooks announce the one (1) entrant who came closest to without going over to Amy’s time and the one (1) entrant who came closest to without going over Ryan’s time. The prize selected entries will be notified by phone or email. If a winner is not able for whatever reason to accept his or her prize, Brooks reserves the right to award the prize to entrant with provided the second closest without going over for the particular 10K.
4. Prize Winners:
2 (two) Winners, one for Amy’s race and one for Ryan’s, will receive a one hundred and fifty dollar ($150.00) gift certificate for use on brooksrunning.com, one Brooks pint glass and one Brooks Eugene tech shirt. Prize winners will be announced on brooksrunning.com on or after June 23, 2012. All Prize Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, as well as any and all other costs, if any.
5. Winners:
By participating and accepting the prizes, the two Winners consents and hereby grants Brooks the permission to use of their names without compensation by Brooks for the purpose of advertising on e-commerce websites, including but not limited to, www,brooksrunning.com; and on social media websites, including but not limited to, Facebook.
6. Prizes:
No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of the Prize Winners are permitted except by Brooks, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. Brooks, at its sole discretion, also reserves the right to disqualify and void any entry who Brooks believes whose conduct or actions affect the administration, integrity, fairness or proper conduct of this Program or who is in violation of these Official Rules by submitting an Application deemed to be false or fraudulent.
7. General:
By entering this Contest, each entrant acknowledges and agrees that he or she has read and agrees to abide by all of these Contest Rules and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the Contest. Participation in this Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional acceptance of these rules and the decisions Brooks with respect to the administration of the Contest, which are final, binding and non-negotiable in all respects. Brooks, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents and employees, are collectively referred to as the "Released Entities." By participating, each entrant releases, discharges, indemnifies and holds harmless the Released Entities from any liability arising from or related to the Contest and/or the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in connection with the Contest, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Further, each entrant fully and unconditionally releases, by way of example and not limitation, all claims for consideration, violation of the right of publicity or privacy, copyright infringement and all other claims of any nature relating from the use of entrant’s name and all other claims of any nature resulting from the use by Brooks of information collected as a result of the participation in this Contest by any entrant or the award or subsequent use of any prize. Any use of the information collected as a result of the participation in this Contest by any entrant will be governed by the terms of the Privacy Policy.
8. Inaccurate Transmissions:
Brooks is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission. Brooks is not responsible for theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Contest materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Brooks is not responsible for inaccurate transmissions of or failure to display Contest materials on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Brooks reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
9. Severability:
If any provision(s) of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect
10. Winner List:
The names of the winners will be posted on brooksrunning.com by June 25, 2012. To obtain a written list of winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:
