Comfortable and supportive. A great everyday/walking shoe. A tad heavy to run in though .

Comments about Ghost GTX:
I'm just getting into running, so I still do a lot of walking most of the time but these are extremely comfortable. When I ran in the last pair of reeboks I had, the bottom of my feet were always so sore and I couldn't even finish walking more than 2 miles without having to keep sitting down and resting. These actually don't cause me much pain, the only time I felt any was when I laced them too tight and went about 6-7 miles, but other than that they've been really awesome. These are my first pair of Brooks and probably won't be my last pair! I'm hoping these will last me a while. I haven't had them quite long enough to know any huge cons or how fast they wear out. They're pretty good with water, even though I still wouldn't dunk my whole foot into a giant puddle willingly but they've been pretty good about staying dry so far. Overall, i'm really happy with these.

Comments about Ghost GTX:
Avid Brooks runner (now in the Pure series, but going back to the Radius in the 90's). Looking for a waterproof shoe, but not real heavy, for snowshoeing. I've been out in them twice for long snowshoe runs and love the fit and comfortable feel. May also give them a try in wet trail conditions this summer. They seem to be perfect for what I needed.

Comments about Ghost GTX:
My father always told me, "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear."
I live in Chicago and am an outdoor runner 365 days out of the year. This requires nothing short of the best cold/wet weather gear in the winter months. These shoes are the perfect example of great gear. They have been amazing in the crazy winter we have had. Rain, snow, slush, ice... none of it has stood a chance. I average about 30 miles a week and even on long runs in wet conditions my feet have stayed dry and comfortable.
I have crazy high arches and the arch support was also fantastic. They do feel a bit stiff at first, but break in very quickly. I normally wear a size 8 1/2, but found that a 9 in these shoes fit me the best.
My only complaint is that they started to wear out (in the arch support area) just before I hit the 300 mile mark, thus the 4/5 star review. This seems to be a typical mileage for all shoes these days, but I was really hoping these would last a bit longer, since they feel so substantial, and take me through my next Half Marathon on 3/16 and the rest of March.
The bottom line is: I loved them enough to order another pair today!

Comments about Ghost GTX:
Have worn every generation of Brooks Ghost. When I moved from southern California to NYC, I knew I needed something for winter running and/or rainy conditions.
I tried these straight out of the box for a 17 miler in Central Park in the snow. My feet stayed warm and dry through puddles, ice, and knee-deep snow banks.

Wear these when walking my dog or running in rainy and cold Wisconsin, very comfortable. Haven't tried them in snowy conditions yet but I expect them to be just fine.

Comments about Ghost GTX:
I spent a few hours trying on new running shoes and this was by far one of the best shoes. My hesitation to purchase was the lack of color options...but the shoe itself is amazing.

Comments about Ghost GTX:
This is a great shoe for those mornings when running in tall grass on the trail or if there is a light rain out. Keeps the feet dry and doesn't seem to have gained much weight doing it.

Comments about Ghost GTX:
This is another great shoe. I have only worn it on the road, but it would be a fairly decent trail shoe to. I am looking forward to running through the fall and winter in these shoes. Every Ghost model I have purchased, I have been very satisified.
