CONTEST RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (EXCLUDING GUAM, PUERTO RICO, AND ALL OTHER U.S. AND FOREIGN TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS, AND CANADA).

The “Let Us Put You in a Trance” Promotion (The “Promotion”) begins at 12:00:01 AM Pacific Time (PT) on August 1, 2009, and ends at 11:59:59 PM PT on August 31, 2009 (“Promotion Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: Promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia. Void in Canada, Puerto Rico, and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions, and wherever else prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Brooks® Sports, Inc., (“Sponsor”), Berkshire Hathaway Inc., their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and their respective household members, are not eligible to enter. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate these Official Rules or interfere with this Promotion in any manner. If a participant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that participant’s eligibility to participate in the Promotion. This Promotion is subject to all federal, state, and local laws.

HOW TO ENTER: Scratch Game Cards are available at participating Brooks dealers in the United States, while supplies last. For a list of participating dealers visit www.brooksrunning.com/trance 9. Consumers may also mail a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) to Brooks Sports, Inc. Attn: Trance 9 Promotion, 19910 North Creek Parkway, Suite 200, Bothell WA 98011 by 8/31/09 to receive a free game card.

INSTANT WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION: If your Instant Win Game piece reveals three identical prize icons, you have won the prize listed on the bottom of the card. Participants can confirm their prize by scratching off the bottom section of the card to reveal either a “Congratulatory” or “Sorry” message. The Winners of an Instant Win Game prize will be asked to verify shipping and email addresses, and apparel or shoe size, if applicable, by filling out the back of the card and mailing in the winning ticket to Brooks Sports Inc, 19910 North Creek Parkway, Suite 200, Bothell WA 98011 by 11/01/09. Instant Win Game prizes that go unclaimed will not be awarded.

AWARDING OF PRIZES: Upon receipt of winning game card, Brooks Sports, Inc. will fulfill the prize in two to four weeks.

DAILY INSTANT WIN GAME PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: There are a total of 2355 prizes available to be won instantly during the Promotion Period. Please see Random Drawing Table below for details on Instant Win Game prizes available for the daily drawings.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: Limit one Instant Win Game entry per person and address. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in the Administrators’ opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of this Promotion or compromise the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Promotion, the Administrator reserve the right to void any entries at issue and/or to suspend, modify or cancel, or terminate this Promotion, in whole or in part, at any time. Mechanically reproduced, illegible, or incomplete entries will not be eligible. All entries must be submitted in the name of an individual person, and prizes can only be awarded to the person whose name is listed on the entry. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for lost, stolen, late, or misdirected entries.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: No more than the listed number of Instant Win Game prizes will be awarded. By accepting a prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, voice, comments, and/or photograph for promotional purposes by Sponsor, and its designees, including but not limited to the posting of winner’s name on Brooks Sports Web site (www.brooksrunning.com), in a Winners List, mass email, or other online announcements, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

WHO WON: The names of the Prize winners will be made available after 11/30/09.
