I have three pairs of these! They are great because they don't move around much while doing interval training, running, or yoga. They are flattering if you like a semi lower rise, but you can also hike them up. They will stay put, wherever you wear them with a great drawstring too. I love the length. I'm 5'9 1/2" and 135 lbs. They hit me just at the knee. If I had normal length or shorter legs, they would hit just below the knee. I like that flexibility. These are a great piece for the workout wardrobe and as a personal trainer, I like the fit and clean lines, great with a workout jacket too.

Purchased a pair of these a few weeks ago. Wore them once and haven't put them on since. The waist band has no hold and immediately slid down once I started running. I had to pull the string so tight to make them stay in place that it didn't feel comfortable or look good. I will be contacting customer support to see if I can get my money back. This is the only Brooks product I ever purchased that I'm not happy with.

Comments about Essential Capri:
I am 5'4", 135 pounds. I bought a small and the fit is great. I love the length, they hit me just below the knee, but the leg is wide enough on me that they don't roll. The fabric is thick enough to feel like they "hold me in" but thin enough to move and be comfortable. I love the wide waist band and the tie is sturdy and doesn't roll. And they machine wash beautifully. I am buying more for running, walking my dogs on the beach, hiking...yoga...shopping... :) I'm a big fan and think these capri's are a great product if the fit is right for you--I recommend you give them a try!!

Comments about Essential Capri:
A lot of reviews are saying that they are too short but I didn't feel that way. I am 5'6 and they come over my knee. I like the length and they are perfect for the in between temperatures where it is not really cold or hot. As withal Brooks gear I love the pockets for my keys. I will buy more colors when they are on sale.

Comments about Essential Capri:
I really wanted to like these, but the leg ended at just the wrong point for me. I'm 5'4" and wear a large. The leg opening was about a half inch below my knee, and just walking around caused the capris to ride up and bunch up behind my knees. If they were a half inch longer or shorter, they probaby would have worked better (or if I was an inch shorter or longer...) :)
Sadly, I'm sending these back. I really liked the Infinity II capris, and I'll likely order another pair of those instead.

Comments about Essential Capri:
These are the shortest capris I have ever worn. They fit me great, I like the way they look, but they come to just below my kneecaps. I am afraid that if I was taller than 5'4", they couldn't surpass my kneecaps. But they work if you are under 5'4".
That being said, I love the thick waste band and zippered pocket on the lower back. The material is thicker, but not at all stiff.

Comments about Essential Capri:
The first thing I noticed was that the length on these are shorter than normal. That would make them fantastic for cooler summer runs, I think. They fit well and were stylish.
One slight problem I had was the waistband rolled a bit. I'm not sure if I got the wrong size or if I didn't tie them tight enough - I've worn them once and I'll definitely play with it to see if I can get it right. Even with the rolling waistband, they were surprisingly comfy.

Very comfortable capri for running or wearing at the gym. I know it's a cute product when my 17 year old daughter tries to grab them from me for choreography sessions.

Comments about Essential Capri:
I just wanted a pair of capris that did not go too far down the calf. These capris end right below the knee which would make them great for racing in the winter without any restrictions. Want to get another one!
