I own a half dozen or more of these shirts in long and short sleeve varieties. They are by far my favorite running shirt and fit true to size. In fact, while they are described as snug-fitting, they are not nearly as tight as a typical compression shirt. The new underarm vents and added reflective strips take this shirt to the next level. Just when I was wondering how they could make this shirt any better, they did.

The material is really nice and light but the fit is too tight. I got a size medium as all my tops are a size medium but this was too tight. If it was a little looser I would keep it. I also purchased a long sleeve equilibrium top and that fitted perfect. Both are described as fitted on the website but the long sleeve equilibrium top fits so much better and not tight fitting.

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
I think I am a "tweener". I need to lose 5 pounds for the mediums or gain 15 for the large. I learned that I feel better in the large but still want to lose 5 more pounds.
Thanks

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
One of my most comfortable shirts. I love the fit and the feel. My only complaint would be the price if they cost less I would have no other running shirts. I guess you get what you pay for.

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
I have used this shirt for some training runs and a race. At first I liked the fit of the shirt but changed my mind after a race. It is not as form fitting as I hoped. It is a little long in the sleeves and is long on the torso. Maybe next time I will try a medium.

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
I bought one of these to try and if it worked out, buy more to be my go to shirt. Bottom line, I won't be buying more.
At the moment it's hot and humid here. The fabric feels great and the shirt does a good job of wicking sweat and making me feel cool when running. However, it has a significant issue and that is the seams. Number ine, there are just too many of them. Compared to a comparable one I have from another manufacturer, there are a lot more. They are not well sewn and feel very rough when you are not wearing the shirt. For me, every seam across the back and around the arms hit in a way that they rubbed significantly enough to be noticeable and an annoyance while running. They claim to be flat stitch, and they basically are, but they are just not stitched well and are more raised and rougher than the other shirt I own and others I have seen.
If you try it on and the seams are in a good place on your body and don't rub then I'm sure it's a good shirt. For me, I'm slightly disappointed as I was hoping it would meet my needs well. I bought a clearance color so I'm not as disappointed as I would have been if I paid full price. At full price I would consider the problems large enough to warrant a return.

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
I received my first Brooks Equilibrium shirt at a running store's anniversary and loved it so much that I bought two more from the Brooks website. It's a nice snug fit, so don't be surprised if it seems a little small when you first put it on. That's the way it's supposed to be!

Brought these shirts on sale. Well worth the money. Perfect second skin feel, no chafing and a great looking shirt as well. I am one Happy Camper.

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
Great shirt, very comfortable fabric. Runs a bit snug, I got the large and it is a tighter fit (I'm 5'9", 170 lbs), but still very comfortable. Got the royal blue and red on sale, so a good deal.

Comments about Equilibrium SS:
I run about 35 miles per week almost exclusively in these shirts. After using my first shirt for a few weeks I bought several more. The chaffing I experienced in other shirts is no longer an issue. They're so light weight, comfortable and stretchy that I almost forget that I'm wearing one except that I'm not getting sunburned. Highly recommend. The only major complaint that I have is the cost but since I'm not all that picky I just buy the colors that are on sale.
