I am an avid runner but am also very much into a new work-out mode with a lot of heavy olympic lifting and bar-work. I wanted a pair of shorts I could use for distance runs wihtout them "running up" on me, AND still have a cute, form-fitted short to wear at the gym when lifting: these fit the bill perfectly! Reviews I saw mentioned they were great for running - and they're right! The leg grips are perfect for keeping the shorts in place while running/lifting without being too tight at all! They sit comfortably on the hips and I did not experience the 'muffin top' at all, as I saw mentioned in a few other reviews; for those highly concerned about a muffin-top affect: spandex/boy-shorts [in general!] are probably the types of clohing you should be stearing clear of! Being a petite, 5'2" woman, I am thankful that the legs are not any longer than they are, as I often find them uncomfortably long-on-the-leg - Thank you Brooks for keeping this pair a bit on the shorter side! The only bummer I experienced while buying these shorts was that the colors I would have preferred were not available in my size - something I run into often, but not the fault of Brooks at all!

I was so excited to get these in the mail, but was very disappointed by the way they fit. I am an elite athlete and very lean, but the leg openings gave me a "muffin top". They were cute and would be great for training, but the leg openings were so uncomfortably tight. And the no slip rubbery stuff was very uncomfortable as well.

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
I am currently pregnant so was looking for a pair of shorts with a little more coverage. I ordered up a size than I typically wear and they work great. I like that the top can fold down or stay up (for that growing belly). I am not a big fan of the rubber elastic on the bottom of the shorts as it feels a little uncomfortable. The bigger size does not feel like it cuts into my thighs as bad. They are cute and stylish and offer coverage (no shorts crawling up here)!

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
These shorts are great, but I wish Brooks had another boy short: just simple, no key pocket or added elastic band. When I'm doing 200 repeats, I like to wear as little as possible - I don't need an extra key pocket that ads bunch. I do like that these don't move around at all or ride up because of the added elastic around the leg, but less is more sometimes too!

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
I absolutely love these shorts. I run almost exclusively in spandex and I love that these are shorter than the infiniti shorts but still have the awesome non-slip bands. I will definitely be buying more, especially once it is warmer outside!

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
I bought these in the orange, but found they weren't very flattering because the material was so thin, leaving nothing to the imagination. They were extremely comfortable though. Maybe a darker color would have been more concealing, but the bright colors are so fun!

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
I love these shorts. I do long runs weekly and they are great for reducing chaffing! The only draw back is that if you are sweating the grey color doesn't cover that up. :)

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
These are perfect for me. Frankly, I'm pretty lean so I don't have an issue with the elastic. However, when I was heavier I wouldn't have liked this style as it can cause a muffin effect. For me now, these are perfect. I don't use the pocket (it's pretty useless) so in my opinion it should just me removed. Otherwise, they are great.

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
I always run in compression shorts that have an 3inch inseam for running. I did not like the added elastic band around the leg holes, it caused a "muffin top" effect on my upper legs (and I only weight 108 lbs!) and I did not like that there was no liner inside. The fabric was also too lightwieght and showed sweat marks in unflattering places.

Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:
These shorts are pretty tight at the hips. I'm not exactly sure where they are supposed to sit (ie waist or hips or mid) they gave me muffin top (prob gotta lose a few lbs) I measured myself before I ordered them and the waistband is a little tight.
As for the grips on the thighs, I love em! They don't budge! Wore them on a 9mile run in the humidity and they didn't budge. They didn't breathe well though in the heat (hence compression)
A little cooler than 80degree weather they might be fine.
