I use this shoe daily and as a trail runner. I also use it for light mountain climbing. I had owned the Cascadia 6 shoe and my only complaint was they were slightly big and as they wore down the inner support went away. I didn't buy the 8s because I had heard of lacing issues and when I tried them on they didn't fit as well as the 7s. My main complaints with the 7s are that the asymmetric lacing makes it a little difficult to custom fit it to your foot and also there is a slight hot spot over the knuckle of the big toe. Still, over all a great shoe and would buy another pair right now if I could.

The shoe itself seems well-made, sturdy. Feels comfortable. Has good cushion, but not too much. I run a combination of trail and pavement -- cushioning seems good for that. I run 12 to 15mi/week. First Brooks shoe I've had; tried it because the brand of shoe I've used for years has gone down in quality. BUT though the quality of the Brooks is good: 1) it is less stable than my previous shoes. A couple times my ankle turned out, nearly spraining it a couple times; never happened in my previous shoes. This may be because it is cut low around the ankle; my previous shoes came up just a bit higher to provide more support -- seems like a good thing in a trail shoe. 2) The traction isn't as good on loose dirt, gravel, sand.

Brooks have such a preordained fit and feel it is unreal. I love your product and sell the brand every chance I get. Kudos and keep it up!

Wish thy came in more stylish color options. 4 point pivot system is unreal and really helps me deal with irregular surfaces on a trail. Very light and supple. Very rugged. Breathes well.

Will use for trail running, hiking, and running in poor weather. Overall, a nice shoe for those things, but I'll stick to my normal running shoes for my distance and speed work-outs.

Using for my first ultra. I train with a pro endurance runner and these allow me to compete and perform well

The shoe fits true to size. Excellent tracking on the trails. I over pronate and find the shoe stable and well cushioned. Only down side is they do not work as well on pavement, but that isn't why I purchased them. I have a short run on pavement before I hit the trails and can tell a difference. I really like the offset laces and the tongue control on the shoe.

I bought these for an every day outdoors shoe that will take a beating. They are comfortable and durable. I have wanted these for a while and so far they have exceeded expectations. I have some issues with my right foot, that make them a little narrow, but other than that, it is a great shoe!

Have enjoyed the Pure Flows a lot and was looking for another great shoe but this time for the trails. Fit is just as comfortable as my Flows, which is a big plus. My feet in the forefoot are more on the wide side and with an average heel size, and these acomodate them well. Have used them a lot for trail use and they have been great. Also wear them for daily use when they are not covered in mud and have been just as comfortable as my other Brooks. The only suggestion that I would have for Brooks is to make another version with the option of Gortex for the winter and rainy seasons, I would be the first in line for that version! My feet thank you for another great shoe!
