Feeling the upgraded quality in the Trance after running a couple weeks in them. Am I sensing them breaking in a bit and getting softer as I go, possibly? Last shoes were Saucony Ride (cushion-neutral) had been in the Guide (stablility) before, Kayano's before that and the Trance is somewhere in-between there, might be up with the Kayano. Not a very aggressive sole but stcks well on the trail. Have used all with Superfeet insoles, typically the green but recently switched to the orange, like the forefoot cushion. I'm a narrow width and while the Trance doesn't fit me like a glove it's not too baggy on me, especially on the road.

I love the Trance series and have put 30+ miles per week on more than 10 pairs of Trance 7 and Trance 8 but the Trance 9 is a massive disappointment. The slight increase in cushioning is a welcomed update but the wider mid and forefoot changes the fit of the shoe so that it feels downright sloppy by comparison. After putting 10 miles on a pair of the Trance 9, I immediately ordered 5 pairs of the Trance 8. I suppose I will have to find a new shoe when I get through that supply of Trance 8s. Hopefully they fix the problem in the Trance 10.

Comments about Trance 9:
I was a competitive team sport athlete for years and have recently sought out running as a simple way of staying in shape. I have never been a Runner and hope to be someday. As I transition into this mindset and lifestyle I'm finding all kinds of new and different injuries to deal with. These shoes have helped stabilize my pronation. They have helped reduce over use injuries and enabled my to be more comfortable running - which, for now, is my primary ambition.
While these shoes are not the perfect fit for my feet, they are the best I've had in a long time.

Comments about Trance 9:
I use these shoes to run about 6 miles per week. The replaced my Brooks Adrenaline's that had 300 miles on them. Thrilled with my initial runs. Excellent comfort and support. Lightweight. All around think this will give me everything I need for the next 300!

Comments about Trance 9:
I'm over 40 and run in these 15 plus miles a week. I've had IT band issues in the past, but none yet with these shoes. The stability correction is noticeable but not distracting.

Comments about Trance 9:
I HAVE BEEN RUNNING IN TRANCES SINCE THE SIX SERIES AND JUST ORDERED A PAIR OF 9'S BECASUE I AM ALWAYS A MODEL BEHIND, BUT THE TRANCE 9'S ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN THE 7 AND 8'S. tHEY ARE BULKY AND TOO CUSHIONED AND FEEL ABOUT A HALF SIZE TO BIG. I RUN ABOUT 30 MILES A WEEK AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE 9'S.

Comments about Trance 9:
I have ran in Trances for the last eight years of my life and do not plan to ever purchase a different running shoe. I put around twenty-five to thirty miles on my Trances a week and have found that I can tell when I need to rotate in a new pair by the soreness I feel throughout my legs. In my experience, this shoe lasts around nine months under these conditions.

Comments about Trance 9:
This is a great shoe. I just bought my third straight pair of these. they are very comfortable and they also have great cushioning. I recommend that anyone who has reoccurring pain in their foot or lower legs switch to this shoe as I did.
