This shoe has a taste for the finer technologies in life, like an incredibly articulated Caterpillar Crash Pad that segments the midsole for a perfectly smooth heel-to-toe transition. We moved the heel counter to the outside of the shoe for even more interior comfort, plus built-in bootie-like design for a silky feel. This shoe is so plush that, pretty soon, it will be on an episode of MTv® Cribs.

I have been running consistently for 3 years now and have tried various shoes and the Trance 12 has been the best so far, great feel, super sturdy and supportive and at a good price point for what I needed. I will be running my first half marathon in Feb 2013 and I am looking forward to how they will feel for that distance in colder weather.

I wore the Adrenaline 12s last year and loved them. Went through 4 pairs with each one lasting about 650-700K. I overpronate, and slightly more with my right foot than left. The adrenaline 12s would break down on the back right heel after those hundreds of km's. I tried the Adrenaline 13s and went through the heel after only 120K! At the Boston Marathon Expo I spoke to the Brooks staff who suggested the Trance 12s. They are comfortable out of the box and you can feel they have more cushioning than the Adrenaline's. however, the Trance's broke down completely after 80K! I haven't changed how I run, but instead, I believe Brooks has changed the rubber on their soles, meaning they are softer now. There is no way shoes should be breaking down after a week of running!! I complained to Brooks and kudos to them they are giving me a new pair. However, I know it's just going to break down quickly. Hoping the Adrenaline 14s go back to the old rubber/soles or else I'll be switching shoe companies. In the meantime, I'm searching the web for Adrenaline 12s!!

I'm in the military and running is a big part of my everday life. I'm so glad I finally found a shoe that works for me . I'm a little heavier than your average runner around 205 and in my opinion these shoes could not be better simply amazing . I just took them on a 5 mile run right out of the box no issues what so ever. I would highly recommend these shoes to any one .

These are great shoes with right size in all dimensions (M-10D). The shoe has a specific plastic enforcement features on outside of the heel and both sides. It rather has less cushioning than you would expect, especially in the tongue.

I'm a bigger guy (6'3, 245) and I love these shoes! I used to run in Saucony Hurricane's, but I switched to the Trance 12 and I'm not going back. I used to have some ankle pain, but not anymore. And, it's especially impressive because I'm in marathon training mode, but they're holding up great on my long runs. I would recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a supportive and comfortable ride.

After over 500 miles in the GTS12, I decided to try the Trance with a similar. I really like the Trance toe box as I have had problems with other shoes. The Trance is well cushioned without being heavy and provides pronation control I did experience with the GTS12. There are only 30 miles on the Trance shoes, but they seem to be holding up well. I also like the styling of the Trance better.

Great shoe. I put in a lot of miles and go through lots of shoes. Even though the Trance 11 model was my shoe of choice last year, I was not a fan of it. Specifically the tongue of the shoe, it was always too short. They fixed the tongue issue in this years model and made the who,e shoe feel more supportive, light and fast at the same time

This shoe is totally sweet for distance training and high mileage! It's a tad on the heavy side, but really not bad considering how cushioned and stable it feels. I've had a few pairs of the Trance over the years, and I can definitely say that this is one of the better models I've run in. The fit if the upper feels much sleeker than previous models. All-in-all, I probably wouldn't use this shoe as a racer (not that you couldn't) but they are awesome for keeping your legs and joints from getting beat up on longer endurance runs. They dark gray and vibrant green/yellow is cool too!
