I'm a distance runner that needs a lot of support/stability control. I've worn-out 3 pairs of Adrenalines and one pair of the Trance 10s. This is my favorite shoe yet. They somehow make it feel really solid and very cushioned at the same time.
I picked the yellow ones to go with my Nightlife jacket. I was delightfully surprised to see that the Brooks logo was actually shiny gold instead of yellow. Normally I don't like gold, but the bling looks REALLY good in person.
As much as I like the yellow, I only wish they offered more color choices: I'm sure I will end up purchasing several pairs and I always like to get a different color when possible.
I give the shoe top marks on feel alone. That said, the design is top-notch too. The shoes are covered with all kinds of very cool little details for you to discover and enjoy during your box-opening ritual :)
If you need a stability shoe, you've got to try these out. Check out the Brooks return policy, you can't go wrong.

These shoes were awesome for about the first two weeks and then the tread started to wear quickly. That, plus the fact that it has so much support in it to prevent the foot from rolling inward that it causes my foot to pronate outwards to the point at which I have to fight the correction.

After switching from the Addiction, I've had 4 pairs of Trance 9 and then 2 pairs of Trance 10 and now Trance 11. Trance 11 is noticeably heavier. I also feel it fits just slightly larger than previous models. Of the last three, I prefer Trance 10. I wish they'd try to keep it lighter, but I need a little stability and the cushion is great. I love the way Brooks shoes fit my feet and give a smooth ride when I run.

Bought a pair of Trance 11's last year, switching from a long run of Asics shoes. I purchased them them for extensive Triathlon training/competition and found them stiff and fast. I am 6-2 225 and needed cushioning, but preferred a stiffer, more responsive shoe. The fit is great and running without socks is very comfortable. Went to replace them after many miles, and after trying on 10 competitors shoes - back to another pair of Trance 11's. Great, durable shoe.

Returning to the Trance after loving the 8, and leaving the 9's. Was just "eh" about the 10's. The 11 is a great shoe and helped me through a HOT summer training to PR at a fall marathon.
Comfortable ride and breathable with great support. I agree with other comments that they wear out fast, especially for a distance shoe.

I am extremely satisfied with these running shoes. I am 5'10" 260 lbs. with flat arches and this shoe elimiated my plantar fascitis. I trained and completed my first marathon by rotating 2 different pairs. Looking forward to the Trance 12!

I've been running for about 10 months and worked up to a distance of about 12 miles a week. I sometimes had bad knee pain, but not since I started on the Trance 11s. I like the look, but wish there was an all-black or darker color option.

I was running the Adrenaline GTS 12 which is a great shoe, but lacked the cushioning I need. I purchased the Adrenaline at a running shop after a thorough fitting process. Unfortunately, the shop did not stock the Trance. After reading the reviews and deciding the fit would be similar, I decided to purchase the Trance "sight unseen." Wow, was I glad that I did. Thirty minutes after I found them delivered on my front door, I took off for a very comfortable - very cushioned - 7 mile run, and my feet never felt better. I'm writing this review just after I ordered a second pair from Brooks. I'm 60 years old, have been running for a number of years, and this is THE best shoe I have ever purchased. Well done, Brooks!
