Free your feet and embrace the trail with the PureGrit. Working with ultramarathoner Scott Jurek, we developed a unique one-piece outsole that has a concave shape. When forces are applied, the piece splays out to provide a more balanced lay-down. A sleek grip lug pattern and wide base protect the feet but still allow the runner to get in touch with the ground. Top it off with an ultralight mesh and conforming foam upper for a fit that really hugs the foot.
Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I wear these shoes on the trails in and around Austin. The PureGrits have great traction on the dry, rocky terrain that are common around here. I typically run 5-7 miles in them at a time and have yet to find a flaw. They are lightweight but still provide enough cushion for the terrain. Very responsive and I appreciate that they encourage a more natural running form.
Love the way they look, and love the way they feel!!

This was sold as a trail shoe but I live in the rocky mountains and the trails are not paved! They are very rocky sloppy gnarly and this shoe was not able to match up with the terrain. So if you are running on pavement or a few wood chips they might be okay.

It's the OMG! shoe. I couldn't believe how cushiony and light these shoes are and how they fit so well! I usually run with orthotics but with these shoes there's no need. They feel like they were made special for my narrow feet. I haven't tried them on the trails yet. Love them so much I bought 2 more pairs!

I use this shoe for my trail runs. Love the shoe. It cushions impact. However, I am not running on trails with sharp rocks. Very comfortable and responsive.

The Pure is very comfortable and and fits well, so when you go down the gravel trail, it grips well and guides your way without sliding down. It is so light that you feel your feet and shoes are one! Only thing is around my bunions, this particular particular shoes starts feeing little tighter than regular Brooks running shoes.

I have very sensitive feet. Shoes always hurt or are heavy or take a long time to break in or are too padded or too high on my ankle. But not these! I absolutely adore them...they've given me back my desire to walk longer!

The first long run I did in these shoes was a trail half marathon. The prior 3 days of drenching rain left the entire trail in either standing water or ankle deep mud. I was really impressed by the traction control as well as the fast drying material these shoes are made of. Since then, I've done training runs from 10-15 miles over hilly, rocky terrain and the shoes have been just as good (if not better) as the previous shoe I used but so much lighter. However, I can already tell that the fairly aggressive terrain I run on will significantly effect the life as the shoe as the edges of the rubber are already starting to wear (~75-100 miles so far on the shoe). Overall, a great, lightweight trail shoe. I'm planning on using these for ultra racing this year and feel confident that they will be up to the task.

I have rather bad feet. One has a fallen arch and the other supinates regularly. A few years back my physical therapist told me to find the lightest shoe I could find and boy was her right. Ever since buying these (I'm on my second pair) I haven't had any pain or swelling issues.

I am always trying the latest in running shoes but I always come back to the brooks products. The pureflow line is exceptionally good. And you can't beat brooks customer service. They overnighted trainers for free in time for my race. Love them!

I walk everywhere and *love* these as a lightweight, flexible, low profile shoe. Plus, I was surprised by how many aesthetic compliments they've received - I mean, who compliments the aesthetics of a running shoe? They don't last long; I've worn through them quickly and purchased 4 pairs.

These shoes have proved to be okay in the brooks book. I love how much cushion there is when I run. The small details make it great like the polka dot pattern, the cushion of the tongue, and the extra attention added to the laces. They are a bit narrower than a traditional shoe. The traction is okay, way better than my brooks adrenaline's, but on black ice today I was forced to take extreme caution as it did not help me (not that many shoes would). Overall a good product, up to the great brooks expectation.
