Like peanut butter and jelly or water and energy gels, the lightweight construction and lush cushioning of the PureFlow 2 are a perfect match. The key to blending the two is engineering comfort features in a lean way like a shaped BioMoGo DNA midsole that gives your feet a cushy feel without added materials. It's a match your feet will hunger for.
Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I had been looking for a new pair of Brooks running shoes for awhile. I have gotten the Adrenaline and then the Ravenna in the past. I attend a Boot Camp 5 days a week, activities includes: running hills, training on pavement, wind sprints in the parking lot, climbing stadium steps, running a mile before and after, etc. A few women from my boot camp have gotten the Pure Flow 1's and love them so much they bought multiple pairs to change out so I thought I'd give these Pure Flow 2's a try.
I am so impressed by all the features this shoe has to offer. I love that the tongue is only split on one side so that it's not creating bulk on the top of my foot. The cushioning when I run is amazing, I feel like I'm running on marshmellows. The laces twist around the foot easing the pressure off the arch, and the arch support is perfect. I can honestly say that I'm so pleased with the Pure Flow 2's that I may have to pick up a pair of Pure Grit for trail running.

I started wearing the original PureFlow in August. I've been through 2 pairs and I loved them. I felt like they were made just for my feet. I've done 6 half marathons, 3 overnight relays, numerous 5ks, and one full marathon in these shoes. I bought the PureFlow 2 a week ago and after logging 28 miles in them, I'm not happy.
The assymetric lacing and the nav band that only goes from the middle to the outside has left the inside of my foot needing something. My arches have ached on all my runs (this NEVER happened in my previous Flows) and I am constantly "noticing" my shoes and my feet. I know the sign of a good shoe is that you don't even think about your feet while you're running. I'm constantly aware of these. In fact, my toes went numb on my left foot during my run yesterday. They feel awkward and foreign.... a little like wearing clown shoes. Taking turns in them is terrible. They feel stiff and my foot has to twist to turn a corner. I'm not happy and need to make a decision on what shoe to turn to next.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I've been running 6 days a week for 10 years now. Never had a blister with any shoe until the Pure Flow 2. It rubs my heels something terrible. I've tried different.socks but no help. The shoe feels narrow and stiff. The original Pure Flow felt lighter, more flexible and much more comfortable. It was my fav shoe ever. I'm so disappointed!

Comments about PureFlow 2:
First, I loved the original PureFlow. These don't even feel like the same shoe. The upper fabric has changed from the flexible mesh to very stiff fabric. And I have issues keeping the tongue from slipping down into the shoe and creating pressure points. It also feels like there is a pressure point on the outside of the shoe, opposite of the arch. I have never had sore feet when running, but at about mile 10 my feet KILL. I think this is a problem with a stiff shoe rather than a lack
of cushioning. I am constantly aware of these shoes when they are on my feet.
I was a HUGE fan of the original PureFlow. It had the perfect amount of cushioning, felt lightweight and was flexible but maneuverable around turns, downhill, and even on trails in a pinch. I actually continued to wear my old PureFlows well past their death because I loved them so much.
I will say the one improvement in the shoe is the grippiness of the sole. I almost wiped out pretty hard in my old PureFlows a couple of times. But I think I would rather risk that than run in the new version.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I am an avid runner and used to wear Mizuno's. The newest Inspires weren't comfortable. So I took those back. I have heard such great things with Brooks that I wanted to try them out. Unfortunately, these rubbed my heels raw. I will have to take these back - finding the perfect shoe is difficult for me.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I love the shoes. they are super light. I can run forever in them. However, they have poor arch support. Plus, they worn out so fast. I just put in like 50 miles. And the sole looks so worn out.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I'm a new runner and didn't have proper shoes to deal with a low arch and under pronation was wrecking havoc on my knees. Did a little research and found my way to these shoes. Goodness, they're not the most attractive shoes I've ever worn, but the minute I stuck my feet in them I knew they were the ones for me. I recently participated in my first running event and they wore like a dream. The cushioning is totally unbelievable. The jury is still out with regard to how much they'll correct my issues and minimize the stress on my knees in the long run, but for right now the seem to be doing the job. No they're not very fashionable, in fact I think they're down right ugly, but having the right shoes dictates that function has to come over fashion. But I do wish they were cuter, lol!

Comments about PureFlow 2:
These are the worst shoes to ever happen to me.
I've been a runner my whole life and decided to finally give Brooks a try. I've barely put 100 miles on them and my feet are destroyed. Just a few miles would result in countless blisters and days of rest to recover. That has now turned into week-week a half of recover because of the deep blood blisters.
Went out for 7 last week and came back with 10 blisters on my left foot and 9 on my right. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and test out different socks but it didn't matter, it's the shoes.
Today I was in so much pain that I had to abandon them and walk back home barefoot for 5 miles.
I highly suggest avoiding this shoe. It will only bring pain and ruin your training schedule/pace. These shoes are so poorly designed.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I am a RN and this is the first shoe that fixes ALL problems! My back does not hurt, my feet and legs are not tired. These shoes fit perfect! So perfect that the store had a mixed box with 1 10 shoe and 1 11 shoe that I came home and ordered off website! I got them at my house in 2 days and wore them through a 8 day 13 hour nursing rotation!! Got so many compliments and I have spread the word on this awesome shoe! I will buy another color soon!

Comments about PureFlow 2:
Loved my original Pure Flows. They changed more than the upper on these ones. Feels like the outer soul is up higher and pushes into my foot causing pain and my arches killed me. Left shoe causes blister on ankle and right foot fell asleep. They also seem to be bigger than last model by half a size. My feet are in pain after wearing these. You should never have to break in a shoe. It should fit like a glove and feel great the first time out. What a disapointment!

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I purchased this product because I recently completed my first half marathon and I have been increasing my weekely mileage over the past year. I also have changed from being a heel striker to not touching the ground at all with my heel when I run. This shoe has great cushion and support for my long, narrow feet. I have only had them for a few weeks, but they seem to be wearing well.
