Like peanut butter and jelly or water and energy gels, the lightweight construction and lush cushioning of the PureFlow 2 are a perfect match. The key to blending the two is engineering comfort features in a lean way like a shaped BioMoGo DNA midsole that gives your feet a cushy feel without added materials. It's a match your feet will hunger for.
Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

color isn't accurate
The color is so much better in person. Much brighter. I'm not sure about the offset lacing yet. I haven't had a long run in them yet to know if I like it.

As a loyal Brooks customer, it pains me to leave a negative review, but the Pure Flow 2 is just a disappointment. I was hooked on the Launch until the release of the original Pure Flow. Since January 2012, I have owned 8 pairs of Pure Flows and logged at least a couple thousand miles, not to mention a marathon PR. Even better is that I was running injury free and I am now a believer in a cushioned shoe with low heal-to-toe drop ratio. The Pure Flow 2 has the same feel on the run as the original Pure Flow, but the new upper does not work for me. I prefer the tongue and lacing configuration of the original shoe. I have been feeling soreness in the same areas on both lower legs after logging 80 miles in my new Pure Flow 2's. I put on my old Pure Flows for my 6 mile run this morning and will not be going back to the 2's. Instead, I will take this opportunity to buy up the original Pure Flows at a discount. Maybe others will have better experiences with the Pure Flow 2's, but they just do not work for me.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
Tried these for the first time after my friend convinced me to give minimalist style shoes a try. I've a big fan of the Glycerin series running shoes and have owned 3 pairs. Pick up a pair of black and neon green shoes and wanted to try them out. Went out for a quick 3 miler and the shoes felt great. Very light in weight and comfortable! The soles are a bit spongey but I'm sure I'll get used to them over time. Can't wait for my first 5K with these shoes next month. I think these shoes are a great pick up!

I've been through many brands/styles of running shoes over the years. I've only had one 8 mile run so far and these seem to be a winning design.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I only have a few runs in them so far but they are great. However, I ran a 5k with my gf's niece and it was unknown that part of the loop was off-road. Since it had been raining they are not good for wet grass/mud. Other than that this shoe is great and do what they are intended to do.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
i was running in a trance 11 and was looking to change into a lighter , quicker shoe with a lower heel . I have wide feet with a normal to low arch . the shoe is described as neutral and did not have wide widths . but i tried them on anyway and was glad i did the shoe had plenty of room in the front and my heel locked in nicely . the top of my foot felt very secure and did not have to fuss much with the laces . on the road they handled great and had plenty of cushion . great shoe !

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with my new pure flow 2s, this is my first pair of brooks and I will never buy anything else, I'm in the military and running is my second job. My new pure flows have made my second job so much more enjoyable! After putting 22 miles on them I have not experienced a single shin splint or any soreness after completing my runs, Thank you Brooks, well worth the money!!!

Comments about PureFlow 2:
These are my first pair of running shoes and am at the stage where they need replacing. I run a little over 20 miles per week and have had no injuries with these shoes. They provided great cushioning and were much lighter than the running shoes I would buy for regular wear. I thought they had plenty of room in the toe box but provided pleanty grip around the ankle an mid foot. Overall these shoes were very comforatble. I have been running since mid January, so you will need to take this review for face vallue.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
The material that was on the first pureflow needs to return. The new material is way too stiff and the plastic piece in the toe box comes apart from the material after 10 or so wears and it starts to crease and make sounds, which doesn't give the shoe that light weight feel.. its seems almost cheap after that happens. Ive had to return 3 pairs because of this.. My favorite store hates me, which isn't cool, because I push brooks a lot here in Oakland, Ca. I think I have at least 30-33 friends now wearing brooks and now My favorite brooks shoes is not giving me any good results.

Comments about PureFlow 2:
I am a ~30 mile a week runner who participates in many road races. I love a lightweight shoe, not minimalist, with a small heel to toe differential. I had been using the Kinvara's for a few years but always felt they could use more cushioning. I read the PureFlow 2 description and some reviews and it appeared to be what I was looking for. I have 140 miles and 2 races (a 5 miler and a 12K) in these shoes and love them. The weight, fit and cushioning are perfect.
