I'm training for a 1/2 marathon in Oct. My old running shoes were giving me shin splints & I was beginning to dread going for a run. I was fitted at [...] and these shoes were the best out of the other 2 (Saucony & Adidas) I tried on. On my very first run with them NO SHIN SPLINTS!! I run around my neighborhood so mainly concrete and the comfort level was great & not once did I worry about my shoes; I was able to completely focus on my run.I highly recommend this shoe and for those women who are neutral, the pink insoles along with the shoe work FANTASTIC! Also, the shoe fits great as I have a narrow foot width.

Comments about Glycerin 8:
It is hard to find good running shoes if you have wider feet like me, I love my Brooks, they are a perfect fit!

Comments about Glycerin 8:
These have been my go to shoes for over a year, have been replacing every 3 months as trying to heal a foot injury. I just ordered my 5th pair and the left shoe feels significantly different than the right, and of course it's my left foot that has the injury and it's making it worse. Not sure if Brooks will do anything as ordered this last pair during emergency travel (father hospitalized) and had to wear them outside. Frustrated :(

Comments about Glycerin 8:
This is the third pair of glycerin brooks shoes I have bought and I once again love them. I have tried Nike, New Balance, and a few different styles of Asics. The Brooks Glycerin has been the best for me. I am a neutral runner and I like to race 2-3 races a year. I usually race half-marathons and marathons. The glycerins have been the best on my feet and great for my knees too.

Just sent my Glycerin 8's back today. The arch support was uncomfortable so I changed the insert and it felt like there was a ball in the forefoot.

Comments about Glycerin 8:
I bought these shoes for my daughter for training as a college track athlete - she is a sprinter. She reports that the Brooks are great construction/quality and fit, but are just too heavy for sprinting - best for distance/endurance training.
