like all brooks shoes, they are great. i like these because they are very cushy with out feeling like marshmellows. they also are wearing very well. i put in about a 5k every other day in them and once in a while i will walk 10 to 12 miles in them. i've had them for a month and they still look and feel great. i am a big guy and i can destroy a pair of cheapo shoes in a couple of weeks. (i weigh over 250 lbs.) they are holding up just great for the beating i put them through.

This shoe completely wore out at 200 miles. I am an avid runner with a flat arch. So this was supposed to be the shoe - and it was not. While it felt comfortable enough, it did not provide the stability and in the end wore out in the midsole and forefoot areas.
I really liked Brooks and have previously run in several of their models graduating to a shoe that was supposed be for my type of runner. Now I am very disappointed in Brooks and I have to again buy another shoe. Only this time it will be an Asics Fortitude 5.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I have flat wide feet and I've had constant knee pain since I was a teen. I though I would never get back to running. I went to physical therapy and got the right areas worked out, good knee braces. Went to a running store and had my foot / stride looked at and they recommended the Dryad 6's. Since then I've been back to running and loving it. On my second pair now and loving them.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I have rigid flat feet, not the typical flexible type that overpronate. My feet actuall supinate, more so on the right foot than left. I had been fit improperly by previous runing shoe stores into stability and motion control shoes which worsened the problem. I have worn custom orthotics for years made by my podiatrist, but having moved away and not seen him for a long time I guess I forgot his shoe recommendations. I was finally put into a neutral shoe which allows my foot to flex more naturally and allows the orthotics to do their work, and it is amazing. My feet, knees, and lower back are not sore like they used to be fighting the motion control and stability shoes which were causing me to supinate even more. The Dyads have good cushioning for heavy heel hitters like me.

Comments about Dyad 6:
Definitely recommend this running shoe for big guys with wide feet & little to normal pronation. They are very comfortable.
Expect to buy a new pair often if you run regularly (3-4 times a week).

Comments about Dyad 6:
The Dyad has been my sole running shoe for 2+ years. I run daily and rotate through two pairs every other day. They are durable, have good cushioning, and have kept me from many of the foot injuries that plague other distance runners. I train and race in them.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I use these to train on hard surfaces, ie roads and side walks. Great impact resistance and support.
I usually wear a 10.5EE us and wear a 11.5EE in these shoes. I highly recommend visiting a retailer before ordering online.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I'm a sophomore in high school who runs an average of 45min daily and I have these. They're very comfortable and work well with the arch support inserts that I have. I have had them for about 1.5 seasons of competitive running and they are still in good condition. I haven't felt any discomfort with them even after 90min runs. I would definitely recommend them to any runner. They are a bit chunky on the bottom in order to provide cushioning which means they are a bit heavier than other running shoes, but in my opinion this is good because it only means that my feet feel lighter on race days when I'm wearing 5.5oz spikes.

Comments about Dyad 6:
I'm 5'10", 200lbs, and a former soccer player (not a traditional runner). I have wide feet, long toes, and always have problems finding shoes that fit. The Dyads (2e width) not only fit perfectly but feel GREAT while running. The joint pain and aches I've had with other shoes all went away after switching to Dyads. Great shoe, you'll be happy to run on these. (For reference, I've tried a number of New Balance, Mizunos, and Asics and will NOT go back).

Comments about Dyad 6:
I had previously been running on Asics and found that there was no other shoe that provided comfort to my low arch feet. However, an astute shoe rep looked at my running stance and suggested the Dyad. Bingo! 139 miles later, I have been running on pavement and treadmill without any foot or knee pain. My only regret is that Brooks hasn't made the Dyad in any other color. In any case, functionality is at its maximum with Brooks' Dyad! Thanks, Brooks!
