Great out of the box.
Climbed mount whitney the day after I got them in the mail. Fit right out of the box with no break in time, just like my last ASR pair did.

I am avid walker, on both pavement and dirt roads. Tread is much better than most shoes, still slips on wet bright black top. I can feel every pebble underneath me when I am out on the back roads.
I'm not sure how it is classified as water-resistant. Went out on a misty day and came back with the tops of my feet damp and wet.
I will park these until the sun is shining and will only use on paved surfaces.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 9:
I have an annular tear at L5 that causes me a great deal of discomfort/pain, especially when I've been on my feet for prolonged periods of time. These felt great just slipping them on. I walked around all day and didn't feel as much pain as I did with my previous shoes.

I'm on my third pair of these shoes. Best trail shoe I've worn. Even better in snow. Ran a 1/2 marathon with them too.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 9:
This has been one of the best purchases I've made. These shoes have been great for doing trail runs and running on gravel roads. I also have worn them in wet or snowy conditions as well. These shoes are super durable, yet they are still light enough that I wore them to race in a half marathon. Awesome shoe.

Out of the box I did a 20k trail run with zero problems. The shoe has great traction and provides plenty of cushion and support for me, and I am a 200 lbs. runner.

No need to break them in, they are comfortable from the start. They feel lighter then the ASR 8s. Will definitely purchase another pair.
