Why do you run? To develop the gift God has given me and push myself to the limit.

The best thing about being a Hansons-Brooks athlete? Running with the group makes it easier to get out the door.

How have you improved since joining the Hansons-Brooks ODP? Everyone has bad days at every level. The difference is how you deal with it.

When did you start running? Seventh grade, 1996.

What challenges do you face as an athlete? Being away from my wife/family and also staying positive and focused when I'm in a rough patch of training.

What do you like to do when you're not running? Watch movies, play with my dog, hang out with my wife.

Favorite event: 10K

Favorite workout: The 1 mile, 1200m, 800m, 600m with a mile tempo in between each.

Favorite pre- and post-race foods: Pre-race: chicken Parmesan. Post-race: steak and crab legs.

Role models: My father and high school Cross-Country coach.
