Why do you run? To challenge myself, to compete.

The best thing about being a Hansons-Brooks athlete? Having a great support system. We have coaches, teammates, sponsors, and the community all helping us out.

How have you improved since joining the Hansons-Brooks ODP?

When did you start running? I think I was about 8 or so. My mom ran a lot of the local road races and I started running in them as well.

What challenges do you face as an athlete? Injury, bad weather, bad races.

What do you like to do when you're not running? Grill out, take a nap, sit around with my roommates and watch TV.

Favorite event: Marathon.

Favorite workout: 26.2k simulator. Kevin and Keith mark out a course similar to the marathon we are going to run and we run goal marathon pace for 26.2k (16.25 miles)

Favorite pre- and post-race foods:Pre: typical pasta dinner the night before and the morning of the race I’ll chug a Gatorade when I wake up and have a bagel and bananna. Post: a burger and a beer.

Role models: My parents.
