Physical therapy for a year due to knee, ankle and hip problems. I was told I could never run long distances. I bought Brooks addictions years ago and 3 marathons, 5 half marathons later, I am COMPLETELY INJURY FREE. I will never give up my Brooks addiction. Honestly, if you continue to have repeated injuries, give these a chance before giving up. They are wonderful. I want to buy these for all of my friends who continue to have repetitive injuries. Usually a size 10 to 10.5 in shoes, I take a size 11.5 in these. I needed more room in the toe box.

I am not a runner, however, I have worn the Addiction or the Ariel for approximately 10 years on the recommendation of my podiatrist. Up until the last two pair I have been very satisfied with Brooks. My last pair of Ariels purchased in 2011 never fit properly, were too short, not wide enough(even in a D width) and I have hardly worn them as they hurt my feet. My most recent purchase of the Addiction 10 was better after I ordered a 1/2 size up in a D width. However, it appears they have changed something in their design. Even though I wear custom orthotics my foot pronates outward in this pair so much so that my little toes fall asleep and become very painful after only short times of wear. These shoes do offer great support but what good is that if I can't wear them. I will be sending them back.

I've had several pairs of these shoes over the years. I have wide, flat feet and "knock knees." These shoes help keep my knees steady and take away lower back support. They seem to wear out a little quicker than other shoes, but that might be because I wear them so often. Overall, very satisfied!

A hole started wearing in the top of the shoe on the right foot where my big toe is. I purchased the shoe in January and hole started wearing in April. Shoe is still exceptionally comfortable and supportive, just tacky looking.

My shoes arrived the morning of an after-work race. I felt apprehensive about wearing brand new shoes for the first time in a race, but once I tried them on and walked around a little, there was no way I could put my old, worn-out, uncomfortable shoes back on. The race went great. This was the first time I sought out shoes to correct my overpronation, and I was skeptical about whether they actually would. After running the race and walking around afterward, I looked down at my feet and noticed that my toes were pointed forward rather than out to the side, and I wasn't even trying. So amazing! I can't wait to run in them again!

Have been wearing only Addiction running shoes for years, love the Addiction 7, 8 and 9. And Wham! The Addiction 10 arrived to deliver only disaapointment: the first pair was too small, and the second pair came with one shoe bigger than the other!! The decline in the standard of Addiction shoes' manufacturing becomes obvious. No more returning Addiction shoes, I have now ordered other style of Brooks shoes, just wish that I would not need to switch brand all together!
Brooks: Improvement is good, but lowering the good quality and standard of manufacturing is not acceptable, how can one explain the 1 big and 1 smaller shoe in the same box, and were labelled as the same size? Would you spend money to try the 3rd pair? The answer is obvious.

I went to the chiropractor after relocating and twisting my left side. He recommended I get new sneakers and recommended New England Running in Beverly MA. I hesitated as I am not a runner. I went into the store and said, "I have a difficult foot to fit. It's large (11 women's), wide and thick." The sales woman was great. She wanted to see me walk. She said, "I have just the sneaker for you." She came out with the Addiction 10. I put them on and was sold. I have never had a sneaker fit like this one and I am over 50. It was like they were made for my feet. I still am in disbelief that I have a sneaker that fits and feels good. I will tell everyone I know about this sneaker.

I have flat feet and it was recommended by my doctor to use custom made arch supports to address my pronation issues. The doctor recommended I get stability control shoes as well. I went to my local running store and they put me in these. The sole is too chunky and stiff and I can barely run 2 miles before the orthotics start cutting into my feet. I never had that problem with the pair of Adrenaline GTS shoes I had prior to these. So I'm going back to what I know was comfortable and didn't hurt.

These are the only Brooks shoes I'm able to wear because my feet are narrow and I have pronation requiring me to wear custom orthotics. They are very satisfactory. Only wish the came in more colors.

I use Addictions for road and some treadmill running. I have many foot problems and these shoes are the best I have found and I've been running for 25 years. They are the most supportive I have found, although, they are heavy and a bit stiff,it is worth the trade off!
