Lead Graphic Designer for Moving Comfort

General Position Description: 

 

Lead the development and creative process of marketing materials to drive sales and build the Moving Comfort brand. This will be done through development and execution of seasonal campaigns, printed materials and our e-commerce website www.movingcomfort.com. The Moving Comfort Graphic Designer will be responsible for the development of marketing material from concept through production and will ensure projects are consistant, meet defined standards and are aligned with the strategic direction of the team.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Support the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote key messages.
  • Responsible for conceptual direction, design and creative execution of marketing materials, from job inception through pre-press proofing.
  • Ensure the final product is strategically aligned witth brand objectives.
  • Ensure design elements and photography is consistently executed through all phases.
  • Demonstrate creative “outside the box” ideas and innovative solutions that fit Moving Comfort’s strategic business objectives.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the print process. Be able to effectively communicate with printers on quotes and project/pre-press issues.
  • Manage creative process for photo studio and location shoots for two seasonal catalogs including the conceptual development, design, photoshoot, production and print.
  • Conceptualize and develop graphical interface for e-commerce website.
  • Make changes to website/pages based on feedback from management and users.
  • Develop strong working relationshiops with all team members and keep them apprised of circumstances that may affect creative direction or project schedules in timely manner.
  • Keep necessary records and prepare required reports in order to meet budget requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 4-year college degree in Graphic Design and/or Visual Communication
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Graphic Design
  • Expert knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, GoLive, Dreamweaver and Flash is required.
  • Excellent technical and production skills (i.e., cutting and optimizing images, manipulating digital graphics, clean production, color usage, and layout, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of HTML. Understanding of HTML implications on site design and production.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self motivated and comfortable working and contributing in a fast-paced, highly creative, team environment
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Previous work developing online and/or offline catalogs preferred
  • Marketing experience is a plus
  • Passion for fitness and an active lifestyle
