Biomechanics Lab Technician - TempBrooks Sports, Inc: Brooks is a global leader in the specialty running market located in General Position Description: Primary responsibility of the Biomechanics Lab Technician will be to assist lab personnel in collecting and analyzing laboratory data for mechanical and biomechanical tests. Primary materials to be tested will be footwear, polymers and textiles. Basic Responsibilities: § Become familiar with anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of running/walking § Learn primary lab techniques for measuring biomechanics of running/walking gait § Become familiar with basic running shoe design features and components § Work with biomechanist to measure and analyze biomechanical gait analysis data using 3D motion analysis, high-speed video and plantar pressure sensor analysis § Learn primary lab techniques for measuring the mechanical performance of polymeric materials § Work with lab personnel to conduct mechanical tests to measure mechanical performance of polymeric materials, components and shoes § Analyze mechanical and biomechanical data and create reports based on MS Word and Excel § Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1. Recent graduate or current college undergraduate working on degree in kinesiology, exercise & sports science, physiology, or related degree 2. College experience in science lab atmosphere 3. Experience with MS Office suite 4. Minimum commitment of 6-9 months 5. Must be available 20-40 hours per week 6. Ability to arrange transportation to
