Guru Assistant (Part-Time) - Pittsburgh

Job Description

Brooks Guru Assistants will work the sales floor and be experts at driving product at the retail level. They will be responsible for educating and motivating sales associates to help achieve continuous sales growth within a designated channel of distribution. Brooks Guru Assistants will be conduits of information on the market, competition, consumer and retailer.

Basic Responsibilities:

Work the sales floor at accounts as assigned – be an expert at driving product sell-through in all channels
Educate and motivate the retailer, consumer, and all key points of contact about Brooks technology and product leadership via product seminars and clinics
Create ongoing buzz and excitement about retail education programs such as in-store contests
Communicate regularly with Brooks corporate on market trends, inventory levels, product feedback
Represent Brooks at local grass roots events and expos – including set-up, breakdown, distribution of collateral, interaction with consumers and product trial
Be accountable for a designated sell thru at key accounts in the territory.

Requirements:

High School Education required; Associate’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years retail experience in athletic footwear
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Organized and detail oriented
Knowledge of the biomechanics of the human body
Ability to work independently without supervision
A passion for the running enthusiast and active lifestyle
Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week.
